Advancement in Hair Treatment

Not all shampoos are created equal.

Many traditional shampoos can fade color treated hair or damage delicate hair fibers. The goal of this formula was simple, A shampoo that protects the color of that treated hair you worked so hard.

The results did not disappoint, our breakthrough ingredient Botanisil ME-10.

Botanisil Me-10 is an ingredient used in newer shampoos

and conditioners to protect color treated hair.

BENEFIT: RETENTION

The Color Protection Shampoo with Botanisil ME-10 showed perceivable color retention when compared to other Commercial Color Protection Shampoos. It also showed that hair fibers treated with the Color Protection Shampoo containing Botanisil ME-10 had better alignment and shine.

Blow-Drying Damage

Untreated Tresses:

European virgin brown hair was washed once in a commercial clarifying shampoo.

Method of processing:

European virgin brown hair was taken and double-bleached. The tresses were then dyed with a commercial red hair dye and washed 20 times with a shampoo either containing or not containing Botanisil ME-10. The tresses were blown dry between each wash.

BENEFIT: Reduction In Combing Force

Wet and Dry

RESULTS: Botanisil ME-10 deposits silicone on the hair and penetrates the hair cuticle to provide deep- conditioning results. Therefore, tresses pretreated with Botanisil ME-10 required the least amount of work to comb.

SODIUM METHYL COCOYL TAURATE

It is a mild, anionic, vegetable oil (coconut oil) based cleansing agent. It has excellent foaming properties and is used to create gentle, non-striping surfactant systems with dense creamy leather.

COCAMIDOPROPYL BETAINE & Sodium Cocyl Isethionate

Both are mild foaming and cleansing agent that are derived from vegetable stock such as Coconut and Palm Kernel Oils. Because of their mild non irritating properties they work well in a variety of cleansing applications including hair, facial and baby care.

Polyquaternuim 7,70 & 80

They are hygroscopic at all humidities, attracting and binding water extremely effectively and provide a higher humidity protective gradient to enhance moisturization on both skin and hair. Their hydrating properties limit water evaporation and serve to retain moisture. Their performance benefits are due to both strong ionic binding and hydrogen bonding within the humectant film matrix. In addition to increasing softness and elasticity of skin and hair they inhibit buildup of static electricity. They dry to form a micro thin coating that is absorbed onto the hair shaft providing excellent detanfgling and shine to dry hair.

TO FINISH IT UP:

We protected the formula with a Paraben Free Preservative system and topped it off with Glycol Distearate to give it a nice Pearl Tone.

The many hours of R&D devoted to this product has paid off. The results are amazing! We have developed a formula that deeply conditions the hair and cleanses, without surfactants or harsh chemicals. It is fortified with proteins, amino acids and vitamins essential to repair, protect and strengthen hair while enhancing shine, volume, elasticity and hydration.

HYDRATING CLEANSING CONDITIONER

Panthenol

This has the unique ability to penetrate deep into the hair cortex, naturally creating a moisturizing film that binds to the hair shaft giving hair added protection and resistance to damage and brittleness. Panthenol's molecular structure allows it to attract moisture from the atmosphere and bind to water molecules. The result? Panthenol helps moisturize hair and skin and stops both from getting dehydrated. In addition, because panthenol also spreads evenly on the surface of the hair strand, it forms a smooth film over hair cuticles that enhances light reflection and makes tresses look shinier and glossier. What's more, the smooth film also gives hair strands slip to discourage nasty knots or tangles.

How It All Began

The Magic Brew

for The Holy Cow Hair and Skin Care Line.

I researched an old family herbal recipe for cleaning hair and skin, to leave them looking smooth, vibrant and shinny. This was very close to another recipe to clear up ivy rashes and take the pain and itch out of bug bites, bee stings and mosquito bites.

I had the fresh, safe and edible wild crafted herbs on my property.

I brewed a tea from them and noticed it worked very nicely as a wash or rinse.

I then turned it into a cleansing bar using pure glycerin soap and I added plant based oils.

This is the grandmother of the product you are using today. From there the herbs were turned into high grade extracts and added to pure creams and lotions made form natural and organic bases. One to help regrow hair, another to clear up rashes, bites, stings, eczema and troubled skin, and last but no least one to take pain and inflammation away in about 11 seconds for body aches and pains. They are all here for sell in the store.

Once I found that the original soap made hair grow back I had to research why? Remember I was not looking for a cure for balding.

From the research I perfected the formula further and made a serum or cream that people would use at night to be followed by the special shampoo soap in the morning. I did this thinking it would quicken the results. The last thing I added to boost results was a glycerin tincture made with the herbs that I feel are needed internally to support strong hair and stronger health.

This did indeed shorten the result time dramatically.

So I guess you are wondering how I found out that it worked.

My cousin Tom would help me to do shows selling my products and I would give him some to take home.

He used the original soap as a shampoo and began to suspect new hair growing in the first month, by the 3rd month he knew for sure. In the 6th month his balding areas had nearly filled in completely.

Tom was 60 years old here.

That is his granddaughter on his lap.

Apparently age does not have much to do with some types of balding or the returning of once lost hair.

We got excited!

We started to share it with friends

 and took photos weekly.

And everyone had varying degrees of success

  • Some rather quick, some a bit slower

  • Younger people seem to respond quicker, responding fully

  • Older guys, bald for a long time much slower, with some result so far but not a full head of hair yet

  • Ladies in their 40’s rather quickly

  • The first thing that seems to happen is that any sores or blemishes on the scalp seem to clear up in the first few weeks
  • Then some pores seem to swell a bit

  • Then the following weeks hairs pop out of the pores and they begin to grow

The present hair looks clean, fuller, vibrant and healthier

  • The new hair follows suit
  • This is not a grow hair fast product
  • It will not grow hair anywhere else, it just helps the hair and scalp to improve laying a better foundation for hair growth
  • This is a take care of your scalp and hair and you may notice some miraculous results product
  • Every week is exciting to look for positive results
  • 3 months seems to be where you see what you want to in the mirror
  • 6 months seems to give a full affect should there be one for you
  • I did not intend on developing a product to reverse balding or thinning of hair
